Amber Rose — host of the annual Slutwalk,Hot Airlines Porn Movie which celebrates women's rights and works to put an end to rape culture — is all about female empowerment. So it should come as no surprise that she had quite a few thoughts about Cam Newton's recent sexist remarks to a female sports journalist.

On Wednesday, the Carolina Panthers quarterback told Jourdan Rodrigue, sports journalist at the Charlotte Observer, "It's funny to hear a female talk about routes like — it's funny." As a result, the NFL player received a great deal of backlash, even losing his sponsorship from Dannon.

And after seeing the video of Newton's remarks, Rose swiftly hopped on Instagram to respond as well.

Rodrigue — the reporter who asked Newton the question — also addressed the incident on Twitter, reminding everyone that talking about sports is literally her job.

In addition to gender equality, perhaps Newton should add sports journalism to the list of things he needs to educate himself on.
